چکیده

Quantum vortices are the quantized version of classical vortices. Their center is a phase singularity or vortex core around which flow particles as whole circulates and typical in superfluids, condensates optical fields. However, exploration motion singularities coherently-coupled systems still underway. We theoretically analyze propagation an interference dislocation regime strong coupling between light matter, with mass imbalance, corresponding to case microcavity exciton-polaritons. To this end, we utilize combinations tightly focused Gaussian beams, introduced through resonant pulsed pumping. show that originates from self-interference fringes, due non-parabolic dispersion polaritons combined moving Rabi-oscillating The morphology analyzed Poincar\'{e} space for pseudospin associated polariton states. resulting beam carries orbital angular momentum decaying oscillations loss overlap normal modes system.

A topologically driven glass in ring polymers.

The static and dynamic properties of ring polymers in concentrated solutions remains one of the last deep unsolved questions in polymer physics. At the same time, the nature of the glass transition in polymeric systems is also not well understood. In this work, we study a novel glass transition in systems made of circular polymers by exploiting the topological constraints that are conjectured t...

Topologically driven swelling of a polymer loop.

Numerical studies of the average size of trivially knotted polymer loops with no excluded volume were undertaken. Topology was identified by Alexander and Vassiliev degree 2 invariants. Probability of a trivial knot, average gyration radius, and probability density distributions as functions of gyration radius were generated for loops of up to N = 3,000 segments. Gyration radii of trivially kno...

A lattice-dynamics model of an oscillating screw dislocation

2014 The concept of the Boyer-Hardy source-force, or Kanzaki force, for a static screw dislocation is extended to describe a moving dislocation 2014 in a simple cubic, nearest neighbour, harmonic lattice (snapping-bond model) 2014 and together with the phonon Green’s function is used to derive expressions for the atomic displacements and timeaveraged energy disspation, viz. the rate of energy t...

Dislocation-driven deformations in graphene.

The movement of dislocations in a crystal is the key mechanism for plastic deformation in all materials. Studies of dislocations have focused on three-dimensional materials, and there is little experimental evidence regarding the dynamics of dislocations and their impact at the atomic level on the lattice structure of graphene. We studied the dynamics of dislocation pairs in graphene, recorded ...

Skyrmion motion driven by oscillating magnetic field

The one-dimensional magnetic skyrmion motion induced by an electric current has attracted much interest because of its application potential in next-generation magnetic memory devices. Recently, the unidirectional motion of large (20 μm in diameter) magnetic bubbles with two-dimensional skyrmion topology, driven by an oscillating magnetic field, has also been demonstrated. For application in hi...
